Anti Wrinkle Creams
Anti-wrinkle creams come in two forms - those that are administered by prescription only and those that can be purchased over-the-counter. All over-the-counter anti-wrinkle creams contain one or more of the following ingredients:
Retinol - the first antioxidant to be widely used in nonprescription. It is a vitamin A compound.
Coenzyme Q10 - is a nutrient whose purpose is to promote energy production in cells.
Hydroxy acids - are synthetic versions of fruit based acids. They serve to remove dead skin and promote the production of new skin.
Copper peptides: Copper, an element present in every cell of the body, is combined with small fragments of proteins called peptides and this combination is what is sometimes applied to the skin.
Kinetin: Kinetin is a factor in the growth of plants. It helps the skin retain moisture.
Tea extracts: Extracts from green tea, black tea and oolong tea contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Products that contain sufficient amounts of these ingredients might provide improvements to the skin if used long enough and often enough.
